WTVL Junior High School School-Based Day Treatment Clinician

 

Job Goal: To work within Waterville Public Schools, School-Based Day Treatment (SBDT) program at Waterville Junior High School. Providing support to students and staff affiliated with our SBDT program.

 Clinician’s providing SBDT Section 28 services provide supervision of the treatment planning and BHP’s who work with students identified for Section 28 services. BHP’s provide communication and behavioral and functional life skills support to students who have active MaineCare and meet the MaineCare requirements.

 Clinician’s providing SBDT Section 65 services provide therapeutic services for students who have active MaineCare and meet the MaineCare requirements. A Licensed Masters Level Clinician is required to provide therapy for this service.

 Qualified applicant must:

     Be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or conditional (LMSW-cc), Licensed

Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or conditional (LCPC-C).

     Have 2 years of social work 28/65 program experience.

     Possess knowledge of Medicaid billing (KEPRO) including prior authorizations, CSR’s and BHP supervision.

     Have knowledge of MaineCare Section 28/65 assessments, ITP preparation and ITP reviews.

     Have knowledge of positive behavior support plans and behavior programming

     Have experience working with students working within a school setting.

     Have knowledge of child and adolescent development.

EDUCATIONAL TECHNICIAN III: ACADEMIC SUCCESS ADVISOR

Anticipated Start Date: August 30, 2021 

Mid-Maine Technical Center is a regional, technical high school serving students from Lawrence, Messalonskee, Waterville, and Winslow High Schools. Our Educational Technicians are critical members of the MMTC Instructional Staff. In addition to their regular duties, the Academic Success Advisor will assist the Student Services Coordinator and MMTC Faculty with the development and implementation of activities to build and strengthen academic skills and provide support to students in their academic courses including college Dual Enrollment classes.

 The Ed Tech Position

·         School year position (183 days, including in-service days)

·         35 hours per week

Primary Responsibilities

·         Provide support to the instructional staff and students in assigned programs of study.

·         Assist with the implementation of IEP accommodations and other modifications.

·         Assist with the supervision of students during applied learning activities.

·         Assist with the coordination and implementation of center-wide programming related to academic achievement and support.

·         Participate in all staff meetings, in-service training, and professional development as assigned

·         Serve as a role model for students by maintaining high standards of professional behavior

 

Qualifications

·         Certified or certifiable as a Level III Educational Technician through the Maine Department of Education

·         Relevant education and work experience

·         Strong academic, interpersonal, and organizational skills

·         Strong initiative and willingness to work independently

·         Able to work and communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and visitors

·         Cooperative, patient, and respectful of the beliefs, opinions, and confidentiality of others

·         Experience in Career and Technical Education and related technical fields preferred
