Waterville Public Schools is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OTR) with a current Maine Licensure, who will provide appropriate services to students with special needs to maximize independent function in the school setting.  This position is a "contracted position" for 18-20 hours per week.  The candidate will participate as a member of the IEP team meeting process, plan interventions, assess students' needs and skills, and provide both, direct and consultation services as required.  In addition, the individual will provide information and consult with school personnel in support of students with disabilities for inclusion and programming purposes.   

If hired, a criminal history/background check would be required through the Maine Dept. of Education. (information for this is attached)

   The Waterville Senior High School is seeking an eSport coach for the HSEL {High School eSports League} Fall Majors season.

Qualifications and Responsibilities include:

- Competitive gaming experience and/or coaching experience preferred. 

- Knowledge of PCs and Gaming Systems (you'll be working with the technology department to help students to compete using the various systems).

Our coaches are responsible for training our youth athletes, including, but not limited to:

  • Setting up and maintaining eSports equipment and software with the assistance of the tech team;
  • Managing rosters and coordinating matches through the online High School eSports League platform;
  • Prepping for and leading training sessions;
  • Leading physical fitness and mental wellness exercises;
  • Coaching during weekday practices, tournaments, and competitions depending on programs involved;
  • Developing game and life skills among young athletes;
  • Helping students adhere to the commitments of the Waterville High School Athletic Handbook;
  • Serving as an advisor to parents and the community around topics in eSports, teamwork, and competition.
