 Albert S. Hall School

6.75 hours / day-

TWO YEAR POSITIONS

2021-2023 School Year

 -      Elementary experience in the areas of literacy and mathematics

-      Experience with intermediate literacy, mathematics curriculum

-      Experience administering literacy and mathematics assessments preferred

Some Responsibilities to Include:

·         Instruct students in ways that reinforce lessons from

          primary classroom

·         Introduce new instruction planned in collaboration with the teacher or relevant specialist

.         New student screenings as needed

·         Assess students as needed

·         Gather materials for teachers as needed

·         Organize and prepare assessment materials as needed

·         Participate in In-service as requested

·         Maintain confidentiality of student information

·         Perform additional tasks and assume other responsibilities as assigned or delegated from time to time


·         Maintain a professional attitude

·         Supervise assigned recess/bus duty as needed

TItle 1 Summer Learning Camp at Albert S. Hall School - Teachers and/or Ed Tech IIIs
This is a 20 hour a week position. We are looking for five instructors to help plan and run the Title 1 Summer Learning Camp.  The Title 1 Summer Learning Camp will run for six weeks (Tuesday-Thursday) from 7:30-11:30.  Flexible prep time (8 hours a week) is built into the position.

Title 1 Summer Learning Camp at Albert S. Hall School - Lead Teacher
This is a 20 hour a week position. We are looking for one instructor to help plan and run the Title 1 Summer Learning Camp.  The lead teacher will be the contact for parents/guardians, help in the planning process and oversee details of the Title I Summer Learning camp (including Data Collection).  The Title 1 Summer Learning Camp will run for six weeks (Tuesday-Thursday) from 7:30-11:30.  Flexible prep time (8 hours a week) is built into the position.

Albert S Hall Virtual Book Club - Teacher(s)

This is a 3 hour a week position.  We are looking for up to three instructors to plan and run virtual book clubs for students.  Students will have an opportunity to read and talk about three new books. The book clubs will run for six weeks meeting with students virtually once per week. We would like to offer three groups.

EMERGENCY SERVICES INSTRUCTOR

Start Date: Thursday, August 26, 2021

 

Mid-Maine Technical Center (MMTC) is a regional, technical high school serving 11th and 12th grade students from Lawrence, Messalonskee, Waterville, and Winslow High Schools as well as private, charter, and home-schooled students from our sending districts. MMTC offers twenty-six technical courses that prepare students for post-secondary education and employment by providing instruction and practical experiences through industry-recognized curricula.

 

EMERGENCY SERVICES INSTRUCTOR POSITION SUMMARY

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Teaching high school students in comprehensive Emergency Medical Technician and Firefighter training courses using State-approved standards and curricula.
  • Implementing a series of lessons and applied learning activities aimed at preparing students for industry certification and/or dual enrollment college credit. 
  • Establishing a classroom environment that promotes student achievement, aspirations, and respectful, responsible student behavior.
  • Developing and maintaining professional, collaborative relationships with community partners including local industry, state and industry training organizations, and colleges.
  • Maintaining professional teaching certification through the Department of Education.
  • Participating in program-specific and school-wide committee work related to accreditation including, but not limited to Comprehensive School Review, Safety & Health Award for Public Employers, and Program Advisory Committee.

 

Qualifications:

  • Relevant work experience, education, training, and industry credentials.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues, students, families, and community partners.
  • Professional, cooperative, and respectful of the beliefs, opinions, and confidentiality of others.
