PRESCHOOL COORDINATOR: Educational Technician II

1-Year, part-time position for the 2018-19 school year

 

Mid-Maine Technical Center is a regional, technical high school serving students from Lawrence, Messalonskee, Waterville, and Winslow High Schools. The Preschool Coordinator will assist the Early Childhood Education Instructor with all duties associated with the operation of the MMTC Preschool.

 The Ed Tech Position

·         School year position (183 days, including in-service days)

·         20 hours per week

 Primary Responsibilities

·         Coordinate the marketing, awareness activities, and registration process for the MMTC Preschool

·         Assist high school students with the development and implementation of age-appropriate programming

·         Assist with the supervision of high school students during applied learning activities

·         Participate in all staff meetings, in-service training, and professional development as assigned

·         Serve as a role model for students by maintaining high standards of professional behavior

 

Qualifications

·         Education and experience in Early Childhood Education

·         Strong written, interpersonal, and organizational skills

·         Strong initiative and willingness to work independently

·         Able to work and communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and visitors

·         Cooperative, patient, and respectful of the beliefs, opinions, and confidentiality of others

·         Experience in Career and Technical Education and related technical fields preferred
